Home Parish: St. Nicholas, Wilkes-Barre Year of Study : Pre-Theology I at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, Weston, MA What are some of the factors that led to your decision to enter the seminary and discern the question of a vocation to Diocesan Priesthood? I’ve felt a call towards Diocesan Priesthood ever since I was twelve years old. I was an altar server at Holy Saviour Parish in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre. A number of good priests, most notably Father John Green, Father John Albosta and Father Robert Burnett, encouraged me to listen carefully to that “still, silent voice within” that often indicates the movement of the Holy Spirit towards any vocation in life, be it single, married, religious or priesthood. From a Seminarian: David Pirolli

By: David Pirolli This semester at the seminary is very different and strange but not bad. We don't get to leave the house as much to go places, but this means I get to see the other seminarians more. Another thing that is different is the cleaning we have to do to keep everyone safe. This is also a pleasant thing since we are so easily able to show our love of God and one another in this small daily gesture done with joy. Overall, I am so overjoyed to be able to be in person at the seminary when so much of today's education is online. David Pirolli is in College II at Cathedral Seminary House of Formation in Douglaston, New York. He is a member of Saint Jude Parish in Mountain Top.
